Mental health professionals are exposed daily to stresses that can seriously hinder their ability to adequately perform their duties and provide the very best care for clients. While humans are subject to burnout and diminished health when subjected to stressors, members of the animal kingdom do not suffer the same health effects as are seen in humans. This workshop will present a variety of proven wellness and stress management techniques, presented from the standpoint of how various animals deal with stress. The program will be presented with an interactive power-point, with attendants completing a brief wellness evaluation, analyzing points of stress within their own lives, and developing a plan based on information from their wellness evaluation. Participants will also be provided with various resources to continue their wellness journey.
